We are in a very special place as it relates to craft beer nationally, regionally and locally. It seems that every week a new brewery is opening or a small craft brewery is partnering with others or selling out to the big boys. For Travis Williamson, who’s profession for 20 years, was installing draft systems, he opened up 44 Draft House & Growler Bar because he couldn’t find great craft beer in his small town.
About 8 years ago, when craft beer was really starting to blow up, I was to that point where I was starting to try new beers and I fell in love with it, but you couldn’t get it in our little town -Travis Williamson
44 Draft House plans on selling kegs, renting out draft trailers and jockey boxes, doing tap takeovers and further down the road, being a supply center for those that home brew. Although, the space is still under construction, they currently have six TVs set up, almost 30 taps up and running and beautiful wooden bar stools.
Here’s just a few of the beers to look forward once they open:
Southern Brewing Company Midnight Train (on Nitro)
Stone Brewing Drink by 12.25.17
Prairie Ale Christmas Bomb
Arches Brewing Unseasonal Lager
Scofflaw Brewing Basement IPA
Cherry Street Brewing Co-Op Coconut Porter
No official opening date, but their hours are as follows.
Sunday – Thursday 11am – 9pm
Friday & Saturday 11am – 10pm
