The BBC is set to premiere "Return to Paradise," a brand-new Australian-themed spin-off originating from the UK's most-watched drama series "Death in Paradise." Scheduled for filming in the coming year, this six-part series will be co-produced by BBC Studios Productions Australia and Red Planet Pictures for the ABC, with collaboration from the BBC.
Centered around the picturesque, seaside village of Dolphin Cove, "Return to Paradise" features six enthralling, complex, and ingeniously crafted murder mysteries. Having fled her hometown years ago, Mackenzie had vowed never to set foot there again, leaving unresolved issues and lingering questions behind. Her reluctant return to Dolphin Cove sees her facing both the town's inhabitants and her own inner conflicts. The locals, who had harbored resentment toward her, now wish to see her leave, including Mackenzie herself.
Yet when a murder occurs in Dolphin Cove, Mackenzie's exceptional detective skills are reawakened. Despite her initial aversion to the town, she finds herself drawn back, determined to leverage her talents to solve the case. This journey also presents an opportunity to confront unresolved matters from her past, particularly her unfulfilled vows to a former fiancé.
